Boil Water Notice: Etoile Water Supply customers who live in Shirley Creek Estates

Updated:

NACOGDOCHES CO., TX (KTRE) – A boil water notice is in effect until further notice for customers of Etoile Water Supply who live in Shirley Creek Estates.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the notice after a line break was discovered in the system on February 1.

The notice states, "To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source."

Once the line has been repaired and the water tested and approved for consumption the boil water notice will be lifted.  Until then if you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Charlie Luse at (936)854-2215.
