The Angelina College baseball team's doubleheader with San Jacinto, originally scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., has been moved to 1 p.m. on Sunday following this week's torrential rains. The early Sunday start should give sports fans plenty of time to make it home for the Super Bowl.
AC (2-3) surprised the Gators with a conference-opening road win on Thursday. The ‘Runners needed 10 innings to take the 5-3 win behind big hits from C.J. Jarvis and Seth Spivey.
Matt Roberts and Corey Lapeze are the scheduled starting pitchers for Sunday's games. There will be no concessions available on that day.
More rain on Saturday could lead to another cancellation. For updates, check out the Angelina College Facebook page.
