LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Pollok man who accepted a probation sentence in connection to a shooting at a pickup in August 2010 is now on his way to prison.

Jarod Clenon Thompson, 31, was re-arrested in December after violating his probation that was set before him in November. In an interview at the time, Angelina County Adult Probation Supervisor Dustin Fore said he could not reveal what violations Thompson committed.

District Judge Barry Bryan issued the 10-year sentence after Thompson pleaded true to the violations.

Thompson was arrested following a shooting in the Pollok area. Thompson was driving Tyson Wells on FM 706 when they began shooting at a man in a pickup.

He accepted a 10-year probation sentence in November.
