Youth in Nacogdoches had the chance today to hear from some East Texas African American leaders in education. District Judge Campbell Cox and the NAACP hosted the African American Leadership Project at the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Saturday. The project gives African American teens an opportunity to hear how several guest speakers became successful in their career field. Speakers say the meeting is a good way to share how a good education can give young men and women a foundation for a bright future. Afterwards the youth had an opportunity to ask questions about possible career tracks.
