LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man after he allegedly shot at a man who came to his residence Wednesday afternoon.

According to Lt. David Young, a man came to a residence on the 600 block of North First Street at 12:30 p.m. and was with two women. The man at the residence, Michael Anthony Sheddan, 24, apparently did not want the trio at the house and shot at the man.

The man that was shot at went to a neighbor's house, and that neighbor called 911, Young said.

Young said Sheddan is charged with deadly conduct and felon in possession of a firearm.

According to a statement released Wednesday evening, Sheddan was angry over his live-in girlfriend arriving at the house with another male and that he shot a handgun multiple times at the other man.

Although officers did not locate anything damaged by the bullets, businesses, residences and vehicles were in the paths of the bullets, according to the statement.
