Huntington woman pleads guilty to federal meth charge

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Huntington woman has pleaded guilty to her role in a federal meth conspiracy ring.

Court records show Brandy Michelle Beam, 27, pleaded guilty in a federal courtroom in Beaumont on Feb. 2. She was then released on bond.

Beam pleaded guilty to Count 19 of the indictment, which is a charge of possession of listed chemicals.

The indictment alleges Beam purchased pseudeophedrine at Walmart in Lufkin, with the intent of using it to make meth.

The deadline to file a motion of continuance in the case expires on Monday. Three other defendants -- Darrell Jean Peel, 31, of Lufkin; Katherine Nugent, unknown age and residence; and Jason E. Wolf, 35, of Alto -- are also charged in the case.
