Tenaha couple to plead guilty on federal gun charges

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Tenaha couple will plead guilty to federal gun charges, according to court documents.

Plea hearings are set for Roderrette Dewrayne McClure and his wife, Jeannie McClure, on Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Roderrette McClure is accused of owning guns, despite being a convicted felon, which is a federal offense. Jeannie McClure is accused of assisting her husband in owning the guns.

Roderrette McClure was suspected of burglarizing and bugging the Tenaha city marshall's office. When federal agents served a search warrant on his residence, they reportedly found the weapons in a gun cabinet.
