Diboll teen released from hospital day after fatal wreck

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Diboll girl is out of the hospital a day after being seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck off of FM 2497 on Tuesday.

Jessica McAdams, 16, was listed in critical condition Tuesday evening. Emergency workers say she was unresponsive when they arrived at the scene.

However, hospital records show McAdams was released Wednesday morning.

David Bush, 24, of Diboll, was killed in the wreck.

Investigators say Bush was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado westbound on County Road 62-A when it left the rural road and struck a tree. Investigators said he was not wearing a seatbelt. A DPS trooper at the scene said it appeared Bush was ejected from the pickup.
