NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man is bragging about having bought the "most expensive Starbucks drink in the world" at $23.60.

According to a blog post by Logan Warren, 22, he decided to use his Starbucks Rewards card to see how much he could charge on a 31-ounce cup.

Warren said the drink was a Java Chip Frappuccino in a Trenta cup, with 16 shots of espresso, a shot of soy milk, caramel flavoring, banana puree, strawberry puree, vanilla beans, Matcha powder, protein powder and a drizzle of caramel and mocha.

A picture of a receipt confirms Warren racked up a $23.60 bill, but did not have to pay a dime. The receipt is dated March 3, 2011.

Warren explained that he waited until Feb. 14 to write about it on his blog, but that he did get a story from the SFA newspaper a year ago.

Warren says the drink contained 1,400 milligrams of caffeine.

"If I drank this all at once, it would put me in the hospital," Warren wrote.

But how did it taste? Warren said it was "tolerable, but not good."

Warren's blog post was written on Feb. 14 and caught the attention of at least one national writer, as it was covered by Piper Weiss at Yahoo Shine.

"It was so expensive and also Starbucks is known for being expensive," Warren said in an interview on Thursday. "And, it was sort of, it had that sort of viral public interest element to it. How in the world does Starbucks charge 23 dollars and 60 cents for coffee?"

Warren said the story has caught a little "flash-in-the-pan" fame, but that does not bother him.

"It's better than the latest Kardashian scandal," he said.
