Lufkin attorney getting state-certified for appellate law

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin attorney will be receiving state certification in criminal appeal law, making him one of only 84 in Texas to receive the distinction.

Albert Charanza is receiving the certification after passing an evaluation and a written examination.

Charanza explained that any attorney can practice appellate law, but this gives him something to show potential clients.

"It's an honor to be certified in an area of criminal law that I spent an extensive amount of time," Charanza said.
