Livingston man killed after driving into tree

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Livingston man died Thursday afternoon after driving into a tree.

John W. Myers, 68, died at 4:07 p.m. at a Livingston hospital.

According to the DPS report, Myers was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra at 3:10 p.m. southbound on Walding Road, nine-tenths of a mile north of U.S. 190 West, when he left the road and struck a tree.

He was not wearing a seatbelt.

According to PolkCountyToday.com, Myers had just pulled out of his residential driveway when he wrecked.
