LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman was arrested and accused of stealing gift cards from her employer.
On Monday, Lufkin Police responded to a call about a theft at the Belk's Department Store.
A store manager told officers that the loss prevention officer informed them of suspicious transactions involving one of the store's employees.
The suspect was already in the manager's office when police arrived.
Olivia Charlene Foster, 18, of Lufkin, is accused of stealing about $1,800 in cash and gift cards.
According to Officer Randy Burns, Foster conducted several transactions between Feb. 16 and 18.
Burns report said Foster stole about $60 in cash and more than $1,700 in store gift cards.
Store surveillance video captures Foster making the alleged transactions. A copy of the video was turned over to police as evidence.
Burns also reported that Foster later admitted to a store manager that she made the transactions. She even filled out a voluntary statement admitting the crime.
Foster was arrested at Belk's and charged with theft. She remains in the Angelina County Jail, awaiting bond.
