Deputies searching for 3 suspects in Blackjack store robbery

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Authorities in Nacogdoches County are searching for three Hispanic men in an older model white SUV following an armed robbery at a convenience store in the Blackjack community.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said the store clerk at Fuller's Grocery on FM 95 said three Hispanic men drove up to the store and two went in and demanded the money from the register.

The clerk said one had a knife and the other appeared to have a gun.

Once they emptied the register, Kerss said they drove away north on FM 95, around 12:45 p.m.

Kerss said his deputies and deputies with the Pct. 4 Constable's Office are searching the area for the suspects.

Constable Jason Bridges said the two men came inside the store earlier in the morning and bought some items, apparently to scope it out.

When they returned, there were no other customers at the store and the pair tried to tie up the store clerk, but they were able to get free and fight off the suspects. That is when the suspects fled the area.

Two of the suspects are described as young Hispanic males possibly in their 20s. Both are light complicated. One of the males is about 5 foot 11 and the other is about 5 foot 3.
