Nacogdoches woman arrested in stabbing of man

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police have arrested a woman who is accused of stabbing a man during an argument Monday night.

According to the police report, officers responded to the 3400 block of East Main Street at 9:01 p.m., in reference to an assault.

When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old man in the parking lot who had been stabbed.

Officers learned Brittany Lyndell Whitaker, 23, of Nacogdoches, stabbed the man in the shoulder with a kitchen knife, according to the report.

Whitaker was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault and the victim was taken to a Nacogdoches hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
