NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man will go to jail after pleading guilty to driving drunk with a child in his vehicle.

Apolonio Vazquez, 30, accepted a 90-day sentence in county jail in District Judge Ed Klein's courtroom.

Vazquez was arrested in May, after an officer tried to stop his 1992 GMC pickup on the 3200 block of North Street for a traffic violation. But Vazquez kept driving for several blocks until he arrived at an apartment complex.

Officers determined Vazquez was intoxicated. He was arrested on a charge of fleeing police while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, and driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, as he had a five-year-old girl passenger with him.
