Lady Roadrunner softball splits at Bossier Parish

The Angelina College Lady Roadrunner softball team split its road-trip games at Bossier Parish on Wednesday, taking the opener by a 7-6 score before dropping the nightcap 3-1 in Shreveport.

Taylor Thompson picked up the mound win in Game 1, getting help at the plate from Molly Mackey, who went 2-for-3 with a single and a double; and Taylor Brookshire, who drove in three runs with three singles in four at-bats.

Bossier Parish bounced back to take the nightcap by a 3-1 score. AC's Jordan Garza continued her torrid hitting of late with a 2-for-4 night that included two singles and an RBI. Shelby Wallace singled and walked in two plate appearances.

AC will travel to Longview as participants in the Region Crossover Tournament in Longview, scheduled to run from Friday through Sunday. The Lady 'Runners' next home stand is Friday, March 9th against Trinity Valley. That doubleheader starts at 3 p.m.
