UPDATE: Brush fire near Hughes Springs

HUGHES SPRINGS, TX (KLTV) -

UPDATE: Officials tell KLTV that the fire has been contained. The fire had burned about 20 acres of land. Officials also say that one structure was threatened earlier, but was not damaged and is no longer threatened.

 


 

Cass County officials have confirmed with KLTV that a grass fire is burning near County Road 2866 in Hughes Springs.

Hughes Springs, Avenger and Daingerfield fire officials responded to the fire which was called in around 3pm Sunday.

The size and containment of the fire is unknown at this time.
