Ladyjacks to Host Crown Classic
Two-day event will be first home tournament for SFA women
LUFKIN, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team will host their first tournament when they travel to Lufkin, Texas, to host the 2012 Ladyjack Crown Classic Monday morning. The Crown Classic will take place at the Crown Colony Country Club on a par-72, 6,092-yard course.
The tournament, which will be the Ladyjacks' third of the 2012 spring season, will consist of a 12-team field. In addition to SFA, other schools competing in the classic will be Lamar, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M (B Team), Texas-Pan American, Centenary, Oklahoma City University, Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, McLennan Community College, Redlands Community College and Western Texas College.
The first round of action will begin Monday at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start. Teams will play two rounds Monday, followed by the final round of action Tuesday morning. The final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. with teams starting on the first and 10th tee.
Results will be e-mailed to each school media relations office, and will be posted on the SFA web site following the day's action.
