NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - SFA Police arrested three men from the Dallas area who were accused of burglarizing rooms at two dorm halls Friday night.
Chief Marc Cossich said his department is still trying to locate a fourth suspect in the crime.
Cossich said officers were called to the area of Steen and Kerr Halls around 10:30 p.m. in reference to suspicious persons. He said the four suspects fled the area, but police were able to track down three of them.
Cossich said they have linked them to five burglaries of dorm rooms and that they stole laptop computers and other electronics.
"They weren't very smart," Cossich said. "We run a pretty secure campus and there was no way they were going to do it without getting caught. They didn't get far."
Anthony D. Adams, 22, of Garland, Antonio Summons, 22, of Grand Prairie, and Martin Luther Upshaw, 20, of Dallas, are each charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
Adams is also charged with burglary and evading arrest. Summons is also charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, burglary and assault of a public servant. Cossich said the assault charge comes after Summons injured the eye of an officer during a struggle. Upshaw is also charged with burglary and criminal trespass.
