Police back at home of child who was severely burned

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Police are searching the home of a child who was severely burned last month.

Police say a two-year-old girl was severely burned on the bottom of her feet from hot water in a bath tub.

According to the family's attorney, Cameron Castleberry, police and investigators were at the residence on Aberdeen Drive to collect more evidence.

Castleberry said this is the second time authorities have been at the home. He said police took pots, pans and looked at the home's water heater.

The child was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas for her injuries in February and was later released. At the beginning of this month, Child Protective Services took custody of the little girl and her siblings.

KLTV 7 has a crew on the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
