Proud of East Texas: Liberty Hall

From the year 1936 until it closed in 1986, the Liberty Theatre was the center of entertainment in Downtown Tyler. After the theatre closed, it fell into disrepair. But now thanks to the East Texas Symphony, the City of Tyler, and over a million dollars in private funding, the renovated theatre is the anchor for the revitalization of downtown as a cultural arts district.

Although the old theatre had to be completely gutted, "Liberty Hall" is a luxurious modern venue with the ambiance of the past. Classic old movies and new ones, live performances by the Symphony, as well as pop music groups and comedians, make up a bill of entertainment to please all ages and tastes.
