Officials release identity of victim in Longview campus crash

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

The man behind the wheel of a car involved in a crash on a Longview school campus has died, officials say.

The crash happened after noon on Monday at the Longview High School campus.

Police say the man, identified as 87-year-old Robert Reynolds, drove a couple hundred yards off the roadway and drive through a soccer field and crashed into a wooded area.

The man was taken by ambulance from the scene, but later passed away.

At this time, it's not clear if the man died from injuries sustained from the accident, or from some other natural or medical cause.
