Officials identify ETX man killed in aircraft crash

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County officials have identified the man killed in a powered parachute crash near Garrison Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said Roby Jernigan, 66 of Garrison, died after wind blew his aircraft into trees near FM 95.

Jernigan fell to the ground and later died at a Nacogdoches hospital.

A powered parachute is a type of small aircraft with a large fan and parachute.
