DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - A wreck on U.S. Highway 59 south of Diboll sent three women to the hospital, Tuesday evening.
Diboll Police officers at the scene said a Dodge Ram pickup truck was driving southbound on Highway 59 when a white Pontiac Grand AM coming east from Maynard Street, pulled in front of the pick-up. The Grand AM t-boned the pickup around 6:30 p.m.
Officer Lazaro Robles said three women were inside the car.
The two passengers were taken to Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, while the passenger in the back seat was taken by helicopter to an unknown hospital. Robles said the back seat passenger was in serious condition.
The condition of the driver and the other passenger is unknown.
The driver of the Dodge pickup, Shanna Issacks of Moscow, suffered minor injuries. "I am a little shaken up, but I'm okay," said Issacks.
It is unclear if the occupants in both the car and pickup were wearing seat belts.
The accident is still under investigation.
As of 8:30 p.m. traffic in both lanes of Highway 59 were flowing freely.
