LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman was arrested after police said she stole her friend's income tax return.
Lufkin Police said on or around Feb. 13, the suspect identified as Ivy Kay Wilson, of Lufkin, was riding with a friend. When the friend got out of the car, and Wilson stayed in, that's when police say she stole an envelope that contained $4,700 in cash.
Police said the money was the victim's income tax refund.
Following the investigation, police obtained a warrant for Wilson's arrest.
On March 26, Wilson turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.
She was booked into the Angelina County Jail on a $2,500 bail bond.
Wilson was released from jail the same day after posting bond.
