Trial dates set for man accused in Alaska abduction

ANCHORAGE, AK (KTRE) -

A federal judge has set future court dates in the case of a man accused in the abduction of a woman in Alaska.

Authorities tracked down Israel Keyes, 29, in a traffic stop in Lufkin.

For now, Keyes is still only charged with a federal credit card abuse charge.

The trial is set for May 21 in Anchorage, Alaska, with pretrial motions due by April 27.

Anchorage Police say Keyes is a suspect in the disappearance of Samantha Koenig, who was abducted by an armed man in February at an espresso store.

The credit card charge alleges Keyes stole a credit card in Anchorage and used it in several locations around the United States before he was arrested in Lufkin.
