NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Wichita Falls man pleaded guilty Friday to sexually assaulting a young girl in 2010, accepting a 35-year prison sentence.

District Judge Ed Klein accepted the guilty plea for Paul Brian Motes.

Motes was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in July 2011, following an investigation into an allegation he sexually assault a then eight-year-old girl in April 2010.

Motes resided in the Nacogdoches County Jail from January 2011 until June 2011 on an indecency with a child charge, after a woman said she caught Motes watching her daughter shower.

Motes had been invited to the house to play video games.

In June, the Nacogdoches District Attorney's Office dropped the indecency charge and instead charged Motes with burglary, which Motes pleaded guilty to.

He received five years probation on the burglary of a building charge.

Motes has been in the Nacogdoches County Jail since July, but will now be on his way to state prison.
