TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

A Trinity County Constable's Office has arrested a man accused of stealing items from students at Trinity High School.

According to Constable Woody Wallace, authorities received enough information to identify Curtis Lee Lucas, 21, as a suspect after releasing video of him walking into the school on Feb. 24 and taking bags and loading them with electronic items.

Wallace said a citizen called deputy constables that they knew who some of his friends were. Deputies eventually had one person admit they knew where Lucas was and that he was evading an arrest. Deputies found a house in which he was staying in Cleveland and arrested him there.

Although a student let Lucas into the school, Wallace said he is being charged with burglary because he entered rooms in the school in which he did not have permission to.

Wallace said Lucas confessed to the crime.
