LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Tyler man on probation for food-stamp fraud is back in the Angelina County Jail after an incident in Smith County.
According to Dustin Fore, supervisor at Angelina County Adult Probation, Thomas Paul White, 40, formerly of Pollok, was arrested in Smith County on a parole violation due to making a terroristic case.
"We staffed the case with the District Attorney's Office and decided if parole thought it was serious enough to arrest him, we would also file a violation report with the court," Fore said.
The DA's office then filed a motion to adjudicate guilt, Fore said.
White pleaded guilty in Feb. 2011 to securing execution of a document by deception, and accepted a three-year probation sentence.
White falsified documents in order to receive food-stamp benefits. He was arrested on the charge in Nov. 2010.
