NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested the fourth out of seven suspects accused of not complying with sex offender registration requirements.
Sheriff Thomas Kerss said Ricky Eugene Sowell Jr., 28, of Nacogdoches, was arrested on Tuesday. Kerss said Sowell was not living at the address in which he was registered.
The sheriff's office obtained a warrant for Sowell on a charge of sex offenders failure to comply with registration requirements, a third-degree felony, following a county-wide sex offender sweep last week.
Sowell was convicted in 2004 on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The victim was 13-year-old boy.
