FRISCO, Texas – Senior sprinter Mary Dickerson has been named Southland Conference Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week announced the league officials Wednesday afternoon.

Dickerson played a huge role in helping the Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams win nine individual titles and two relay titles at the Louisiana Tech Invitational in Ruston, La., this past weekend. Dickerson clocked a time of 53.46 to win the women's 400-meter dash as well as breaking the school record in the event.

Dickerson wasn't satisfied with one record-breaking performance. She returned to the track and ran the anchor leg of the women's 4x400-meter relay. The Ladyjacks' 1,600-meter relay team clocked a school-record time of 3:38.96 to win the event.

A member of seven SLC Championship teams, Dickerson and her teammates will have the week off before returning to action Friday, April 20th to compete in the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas.
