LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin man on probation for impersonating an officer of the law is now back in jail after violating his curfew.

Lufkin Police arrested Justin McDonald, 20, on Friday, after the adult probation department determined he had violated his probation, according to Supervisor Dustin Fore.

Fore said the department requested a detention order on McDonald.

McDonald accepted a four-year probation deal in October, following a Feb. 2011 arrest. Authorities arrested him after a driver said he pulled her over in the forest area of Zavalla, using red and blue emergency lights. McDonald told the driver he was a sheriff's deputy, but the woman recognized him and knew he was not a deputy.

Fore said probation officers will recommend McDonald be placed in another facility, rather than have his probation revoked.
