Fatal Crash Investigation

The investigation continues in a fatal accident on Highway 59 south of Diboll Tuesday afternoon. The Department of Public Safety says the fact that Bridgette Allison was not wearing a seatbelt was the primary factor in the deaths of her and her unborn child.

The crash was likely caused by driving to fast for the weather conditions. Investigators say the fatality is most likely the result of the driver not wearing her safety belt. The two other victims of the crash were wearing their seat belts, and they were not seriously injured. Allison's husband Kenney was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital. The driver of the truck that was hit by Allison's car is still in stable condition with leg injuries.
