NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Cushing woman is facing a state felony charge for allegedly scratching someone's car with a key.

The suspect identified as Destiny Nicole Adams, 20, of Cushing was arrested Sunday for criminal mischief when she and three other individuals showed up at someone's property.

According to Thomas Kerss, Nacogdoches County Sheriff, the homeowner did not want Adams or the other individuals on their property, located on Morrow Road, off FM 343, and criminal trespassing complaints were filed.

The individuals were instructed to leave the property.

Kerss stated before Adams left, she took a key along the side of the homeowner's 2001 Ford pickup truck. Adams allegedly caused an estimated $2,000 in damages.

Kerss said it is unclear the motive behind the suspect's action.

Adams was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, a state jail felony. She was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
