Focus on Fundamentals of Baseball

Angelina College baseball coaches will offer their expertise to area youngsters wishing to hone their diamond skills in a three-day camp starting June 18th and running through June 20th at Angelina College's Roadrunner Complex in Lufkin.
The camp is for instructional purposes only, and will focus on the fundamental skills of the game. Emphasis will be placed on developing mechanics and techniques on various skills including throwing, fielding, hitting, bunting, base running, sliding, position play and defensive situations as well as position-specific skills through instruction, individual and group drills, and game play.
Players ages 7-16 are invited to attend. Campers will be grouped with others in their same age/skill group. Those attending are instructed to bring gloves, cleats, tennis shoes, bats, helmets and catching gear.
Camp times are 9 a.m. until noon for campers ages 7-11; and from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. for campers ages 12-16.
