Lufkin woman accused of keying truck, ransacking office

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lufkin woman accused of keying a pickup truck and wreaking havoc on her stepfather's office.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, a man reported to the sheriff's office on April 8 that he came home and saw that his 2011 Dodge pickup had been keyed and his office destroyed. He said his 32-inch TV and DirecTV recorder were also destroyed. He said he suspected it was the work of his stepdaughter, Kimberly Pierce, 31.

Deputies interviewed Pierce on April 24 and she said she was in an argument with her boyfriend and drove to her mother's residence on FM 326 to talk to her. She said she saw her stepfather's truck there and keyed it and then destroyed the office, according to the affidavit.

She also said she was so mad she did not remember when she left, according to the affidavit.

The total amount of damage is estimated at $4,500.

Pierce was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Tuesday on a state-jail felony charge of criminal mischief. She is being held on a $2,500 bond.
