NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to stealing his prostitute's laptop as a refund to money he had paid earlier for sex.
Carlos Ramirez agreed to serve two years in prison on a charge of burglary. District Judge Campbell Cox accepted the plea bargain.
According to a previous KTRE report, deputies were dispatched to County Road 6101 in Feb. 2011 in reference to a burglary. When they arrived, a woman told them Ramirez stole a laptop from her residence while she was next door.
Deputies interviewed Ramirez, who reportedly told them he had paid the woman for sex and wanted some of the money back. According to the complaint, Ramirez said she refused to return any money, so he took the laptop, thinking she would be persuaded to return some of the money.
In a Feb. 2011 interview, Sheriff Thomas Kerss explained that Ramirez said he paid the woman by the month, and did not feel she gave him what he wanted enough times.
