Nacogdoches man gets 2 years for attempted wallet theft

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man pleaded guilty to trying to steal a 71-year-old man's wallet in January, accepting a two-year prison sentence.

Steve Lewis Woolf pleaded guilty in Judge Campbell Cox's courtroom to a charge of aggravated robbery.

According to a previous report, the victim was sitting on the sidewalk on the 300 block of North Street when Woolf came up to him and tried to remove his wallet by force.

Another citizen saw the incident and got Woolf to run away from the area. Officer were able to locate him behind a business in the 600 block of North Street, where they arrested him.
