Posted: Updated:

The man exposed to hazardous material over the weekend has died from complications related to the exposure.

On Saturday, the patient, who had been exposed to 'Temik', received treatment at East Texas Medical Center in Quitman.

At this time it is not clear what caused the man's death, but authorities say it is related to his exposure to 'Temik'.

After receiving treatment, all first responders and medical personnel who had come in contact with the patient were decontaminated, and a thorough cleaning of the ER began.

In addition to the decontamination to the emergency room and personnel, an additional scene was established at the patient's home to locate and properly dispose of any and remaining poison.

The man's name and age has not yet been released.

No other injuries have been reported.
