Lufkin Police arrested a man Monday night who is accused of choking a seven-year-old boy.
According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Palmore Road and arrested Eddie Charles Turner, 40, of Lufkin.
The report states Turner choked a seven-year-old boy. Turner told police the child's father struck Turner with a beer bottle in the face in retaliation for the choking.
An assault report was generated with Turner's complaint, but states the child's father and a witness said the assault did not occur.
Turner is charged with injury to a child. He is being held in the Angelina County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
