LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a woman accused of stealing 10 to 15 cases of diapers from the hospital with which she worked and selling them on eBay in 2010.

According to a police report, an officer arrested Jessica Jean Seymore, 27, of Lufkin, at the police department lobby when Seymore came in asking for information for a background check.

Police saw there was a warrant on Seymore and placed her under arrest.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a report that Seymore, an employee of Lufkin Memorial Hospital, used eBay to sell cases of diapers stolen from the hospital. Police obtained the warrant on Dec. 30, 2010.

According to the report, one of the eBay buyers received one of the cases of diapers and saw the box still had a shipping label for the hospital. The buyer contacted the hospital and hospital personnel reported it to police.

A police detective subpoenaed Seymore's eBay account records and used that evidence to obtain the warrant.

Seymore was released from the Angelina County Jail after posting a $1,500 bond. She is charged with misdemeanor theft.

Memorial spokeswoman Yana Ogletree said Seymore was employed at the hospital as a licensed vocational nurse from 2004 to 2009.
