LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Deputies arrested a Lufkin woman and her boyfriend late Wednesday after deputies reported catching them traveling drunk with two children in the car.
According to the report, a deputy saw a Chevy Impala on Denman Avenue with an expired registration sticker. As the deputy got closer to the car, he saw someone pour alcohol out of the window, according to the report.
The deputy pulled the pair over and saw the children, a three-year-old boy and four-year-old girl were in the back seat without seatbelts on. He also determined the driver, Danielle Dawn Wallace, 25, of Lufkin, and her passenger boyfriend, Brian Michael Jacot, 33, of Pollok, were drunk.
The deputy arrested Wallace on a charge of driving while intoxicated with child passengers and Jacot on a charge of public intoxication.
The children's father arrived on the scene and took custody of the children.
