Three Die In Fatal Fire

Three children have been killed in an early morning house fire in Nacogdoches.

Assistant Nacogdoches Fire Marshal Terry Westmoreland is investigating a fire that has left three children dead, including a two month old boy and twins believed to be about two years old, one male and one female. Another child is hospitalized. The condition of the parents, who were home at the time of the fire, is unknown. Investigators say the bodies of the children were found in the front room of the house.

The fire occured about 4 a.m. this morning, according to fire officials. Assistant Nacogdoches Fire Marshal Dale Birdwell says the house, located off South Church street, was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is unknown. Investigators are at the scene sifting through the debris and searching for clues.
