WORCESTER, MA (RNN) – Teachers at a charter school showcased their moves and their sense of humor with a little "stealth disco," and the video of it has gone viral.
Staff at Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School took part in some harmless fun with unsuspecting students by dancing during recorded interviews for a fake class project.
The website Gawker reported history teacher Mike Penney staged the prank, inviting the students to give their take on the school year as their educators boogied in the background.
Penney then set the montage to the peppiest of peppy ‘80s tunes – Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
The clip, posted on YouTube May 8, had more than 22,000 views Tuesday and was also linked on Reddit. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly for teacher in the blue sweater, first seen 50 seconds into the video, for his fancy footwork.
It goes to show that the kids aren't the only ones who can catch Spring Fever as the weather warms and summer break nears. Penney earns extra credit for the spectacular poker face he must have worn while filming to keep the students, to prevent them from catching on.
