LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin woman is being treated for what appears to be minor injuries after losing control and hitting an electric pole Tuesday morning.

Officer Brad Lawrence said Tempestt Moore, 20, was driving too fast on the feeder road off of Loop 287, which connects to State Highway 94, around 10:30 a.m.

She then hit an electric pole, which snapped into two.

Witnesses of the wreck were able to pull Moore out of the Ford Expedition.

Lawrence said Moore did not have any visible injuries, but was taken to a Lufkin hospital, where she was treated and released.

She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Oncor workers had arrived on the scene to try to restore power.
