LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin woman will spend nearly the next three years in federal prison following a sentencing last week.

Court records show Federal Judge Ron Clark approved a 33-month prison sentence for Mandy Nicole Slomba, 22. Slomba will be under supervised release for two years after that.

Slomba pleaded guilty in December to her part in a 13-member meth conspiracy ring. Slomba purchased pseudeophedrine for the purpose of it being used to make meth, an activity known as "smurfing."
