Gift of Love: Katy

It was an afternoon of fun and tumbling as Katy tried her hand at gymnastics.  She is a happy child who loves to please others. Besides gymnastics, Katy loves books.

"I like to do reading a lot,. Katy said.

She loves the story of Pinocchio.

And keeping with the Disney theme, her favorite movie is, "Tinkerbell," Katy said.

Katy has been in care for several years and wants to be adopted by a family that will accept her for who she is.  It is important that Katy find a family that will allow her to maintain contact with her older sister.

Katy enjoys all activities especially one that allows her to use a lot of energy.  Katy loves to play outside and one of her favorite outdoor activities is playing football.

As for her future, Katy is thinking about a couple of options.

"I was thinking I wanted to be a police officer," Katy said.

Katy told me, it's so she can save people.
Or she'd love to be a painter and enjoys drawing.

An ideal family for Katy would be one that is patient and one who is willing to accept her for who she is now and work with her as she adjust to her new environment.  Katy would also benefit from a family that can provide her with structure and stability.

"I would go to Washington D.C. and meet all the presidents, go to Louisiana and go to Galveston beach," Katy said.

Katy has never been to the beach and hopes to one day go with her forever family, a  family that can show Katy the Gift of Love.
