NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Georgia woman pleaded guilty to trafficking 33 pounds of marijuana through Nacogdoches, accepting a probation sentence.
Ashley Dominique Delk, of Douglassville, Ga., accepted a five-year probation sentence on a charge of possession of marijuana in District Judge Campbell Cox's courtroom.
According to a September report, a Nacogdoches Police officer detained a vehicle for speeding. Upon contact, the officer noted both occupants in the car to be nervous and could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the car.
The driver consented to a vehicle search, where approximately 33 pounds of marijuana was found in the trunk. The driver, Delk, admitted that the drugs belonged to her, according to the report.
