NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County state trooper arrested a woman accused of driving intoxicated with two child passengers Saturday night.
According to the report, the trooper stopped a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Christal Jean Rodrigues, 38, headed northbound on FM 225 at 10:13 p.m, for a traffic violation.
The trooper reported Rodrigues showed signs of intoxication and had her conduct a field sobriety test, which she failed. She refused to give blood for testing, but because she had child passengers in the vehicle, the trooper was able to get a warrant for a blood test.
The trooper arrested Rodrigues on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger. The children, both under the age of 15, were released to a family member.
