LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A motorcycle rider is hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing into the rear end of a vehicle in front of him.

Longview police say it happened around 4:50 pm Saturday in the 1000 block of East Marshall Avenue.

Police say the rider apparently failed to see a car slowing down in front of him, crashed into the rear end of the vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The man was transported by ambulance to Good Shepherd Medical Center.

The driver of the car was not injured.
